The Wordsmith Game is designed to need as little of your data as possible.

Game progress

Your found words and round progress are saved in your browser using localStorage. During play, tile paths are sent to our server to check words, provide hints and calculate scores, even when you are not signed in.

Optional sign-in

Signing in is optional. Where accounts and the leaderboard are enabled, we store your account identifier, display name, daily score and hint count to show your best result. Account sessions are checked through Ezoic. Your display name and leaderboard scores are public.

Analytics and ads

Like most free sites, we may use standard analytics and advertising services to keep the game free. Those services may set their own cookies; you can control cookies through your browser settings.

Your choices

You can play without signing in and clear local progress through your browser settings. The consent controls manage advertising cookies. This policy may be updated; the current version lives on this page.
